Mission
I was a new college graduate starting working life in Taipei.
Invited to events and into Taiwanese homes with warmth, inclusion, and concern for my well being, ren qing wei was often invoked.
Hard to translate, 人情味 “Ren Qing Wei" is a Chinese concept of human relations; caring for and treating people, who you know and don’t know, with consideration.
This cultural insight has become a lifelong touchstone. I also think it's needed now more than ever.
That same ethos is at the heart of Away with Care.
